Ballet d'action was created by the choreographer; Jean Georges Noverre in 1760.
It is when the Character expresses their feeling through facial expressions and their actions through their body and face. This is instead of using their voice or using props/costumes.
Ballet d'action was used in the 2006 production of Giselle.
I have chosen to explain Ballet d'action because I think that it is very important to this particular re-make of Giselle because they show great emotion and expressions through their face which tells the story to the audience; as Ballet itself isn't very narrative.
